Hi painters! How are you doing?
We – Paulo & Luísa – made an experience. Yes, it’s true, we took our last summer days and made something and we want to share it with you. We split up for some summer days and went to two different destinations. The aim was to have fun and, in the end, choose which one is best. To keep it nice and with variety one is a national beach area and the other is an international well known metropole. They are theoretically the opposite, which make the experiment much more interesting.
So, with 182 km2, 1 308 735 inhabitants, Milan is one of the biggest cities in the world. Facing this amazing italian city is Algarve, a 451 005 populated place with much more area than Milan. This is a quite and peaceful region in Portugal, in the much warmer south of the country, with many beachy cities. It is one of the portuguese and international people top places to be if you want to have some beach days during the sunlight and hard party clubbing under the moon light. To sum up Algarve is a low profile place by day, quite the opposite of Milan, that comes alive by night. On the one hand, Paulo took the plane to Milan. On the other hand, Luísa went to some Algarve cities.
It was great! Milan is one of my all time favourite cities in the world. I could live in this amazing city forever. One of the places in Italy where you can eat the best food. This is a perfect city for shopping, it’s not a lie when fashion magazines say that this beautiful italian town is one of the top fashion capitals in the world. If you want to shop, expensive or cheap items, Milan is your place. The architecture is one of the most breath taking in the world, being Piazza del Duomo it’s climax. I also want to make a reference to Lungolago di Como, which has the most gorgeous picturesque landscape in the world.
It was my first time in Algarve and I l-o-v-e-d it! It’s such a beautiful place, with some of the most amazing beaches in our country. Everywhere I went, there were tourists: tourists at the beach, tourists at the restaurant, tourists at the hotel… And you know what? It was sooo good not having to hear my language, it felt like I was in another country.
Also the restaurants have extraordinary food and delicious desserts. Can I please go back today?
Our face off came to a conclusion. And those are the reasons why Algarve was our choice:
1) It’s in Portugal, our home country
2) Has less tourists and people than Milan
3) It’s a beachfull (this word even exist?) area
4) The food is one of the best in the world
5) It’s the perfect place to be in the summer
Let us know if you agree or not. Until there, be you, be sassy, be either in Algarve or Milan.
